SpecUp Terms

Version 2.2 · Effective November 3, 2026 · SpecUp, LLC (Arizona)

By using SpecUp you agree to these terms and to the SpecUp Privacy Policy. This version replaces earlier versions of the SpecUp Beta Terms.

  1. Pre-release software. SpecUp is in beta. It may change, break, be interrupted, or lose data. Do not use it as your only copy of anything, and do not use it as your official contract record.
  2. You own your data. We host and process it to run the service and to fix problems. We do not sell it. We do not use your project data to train models that serve other customers without your written consent.
  3. AI output is a draft, never a decision — and you review before you sign. SpecUp flags, drafts, checks and suggests. It never approves a submittal, accepts material, or certifies a report. Every sign-off screen asks you to confirm you reviewed the record yourself. Your QC Manager, Superintendent, PM and licensed professionals stay responsible for every submittal, certification, report and signature.
  4. Do not upload: classified information, CUI- or FOUO-marked drawings or specifications, ITAR- or EAR-controlled technical data, medical records, Social Security numbers or financial account numbers. SpecUp is not FedRAMP-authorized or CMMC-certified.
  5. You are authorized. If you signed up yourself (a position, Receiving, Supplier or Crew account), you confirm that using SpecUp on your projects does not break your employment terms or any project contract. Before you share a job with a supplier, you confirm the contract does not restrict sharing product approvals.
  6. Plans and billing. Receiving is $10 a month. Superintendent, QC Manager, Safety and Foreman are $19.99 a month each. Supplier: free on a job a contractor shares with you; on a PO you start, the first 5 orders are free, then $29 a month per active PO, with the first month prorated and no bill for a month with no orders. Prices are plus applicable sales tax. Payments are not switched on yet — nothing is charged until they are, and we will tell you before your first charge. Once on, plans renew monthly on the card you give us, through our payment processor. Cancel any time by emailing info@buildspecup.com; cancelling stops the next charge, and the plan runs to the end of the month already paid.
  7. Referral codes, credit and thank-you gifts. When someone signs up with your code and becomes a paid account, you get one month of credit on your own plan (if you have one) and a point. Points add up to thank-you gifts we choose and send by hand — they are not prizes, nothing is won by chance, and no purchase is needed to make a code. You must be 18 or older for a Crew code. Gifts are limited to $599 per person per calendar year. Follow your employer's rules on accepting gifts. Share your code honestly: no spam, and never say you work for SpecUp. We can switch off a code that breaks these rules, and we can change or end the gift program.
  8. Confidential. SpecUp's screens, workflows, standards, checklists and outputs are confidential and are trade secrets. Do not share screenshots, recordings or demos outside your company.
  9. No warranty. SpecUp is provided as is, without any promise that outputs are error-free. If something's wrong, we'll correct it or refund the fee for that document. That's the only remedy. During the free beta, our total liability to you is capped at $100.
  10. You make the final call. Your QC Manager reviews every document before it goes out. If you find an error, tell us at info@buildspecup.com so we can fix it.
  11. Access can end. We can suspend or end access at any time. You can export your data before you leave and for 30 days after.
  12. Disputes. Arizona law. Any dispute goes to mediation in Pima County, Arizona, before anyone files suit. If you bring a claim against SpecUp, you're responsible for all legal fees, regardless of outcome. Venue is Pima County, Arizona.

If your company signed a Beta Program Agreement with us, that agreement controls where these terms differ. Questions: info@buildspecup.com
